Hot For the Teacher now available!!!!

I am so excited to say that Hot For The Teacher is now out and available for purchase.  This was the first book that I submitted and got a contract for publishing.  I am excited to say it was written with my best friend Bella Rosso!  It is now available for purchase at these sites: WickedinkpressD'Ink WellDreams and Fantasies!

Blurb:
After a bitter divorce three years earlier, Dyani Delacroix focuses all her energy into her job. She hides her disappointment in a failed relationship under the guise of a trusted leader -- a Professor at the local college. Her plan works brilliantly until she notices her star pupil Caleb Tegner is on the verge of flunking out. Meeting him face to face over her desk sparks a desire she's not prepared to confront.

Caleb knows he's considered young. But a man is still a man, and he knows exactly what he wants. One sexy older woman. He doesn't see a professor, he sees beyond the title of trusted mentor. The obstacle of age is only one of the conflicts he'll battle to make her his.

Excerpt:

Dyani heard the knock on her office door and glanced at the clock on her laptop monitor, he was on time. She knew it was him. She could feel him. The sexual tension that always seemed to crackle in the air was back and he wasn’t even in the room, yet.

There was a seat in front of her desk for him to sit. Time for her to get her game face on and to deal with this, deal with Caleb and see what the issue was that made his grades fall so drastically. She wouldn’t think on how handsome he was. He was way too young and also Caucasian. Those two obstacles alone stopped her from acting on the need that pulsed through her body whenever he was close.

She had worked too long and too hard to gain her status at the university to play around with a taboo subject of younger man with an older woman. Let alone those very two people being of the opposite ethnicity. No, she wasn’t by any means offended by an interracial relationship. But even in this day and age, she knew others who were. Even those at the university level could take issue. Small-town gossip wasn’t the kind of thing she wanted to give fire to.

"Come on in." She spoke loud enough so he could hear her through the closed door.

He opened the door, and the first thing she noticed was how he gazed at her. His eyes scrutinized her body in an unhurried fashion, almost as if he were touching her, caressing her with his hands. She wished she hadn't unbuttoned her blouse. His eyes focused on the opened point of her blouse, she licked her lips in a nervous action when his eyes finally made contact with hers. "Hello Professor Delacroix." He purred the words; she shivered as her name rolled over his tongue. She swallowed, watching as he closed the door behind him and found the seat in front of her desk.

"Hello Caleb." She ignored the sound he emitted. The noise he had made could not be resonating with sensual purpose. It had to be a figment of her imagination. Yet, even that wrong interpretation made her shift as a wetness seeped between her thighs just from looking at him. She cleared her throat, giving an appearance of being more comfortable than she really felt, then continued. "So tell me, what’s happening as of late, that your failing?"

He leaned back in his chairs and looked at her through slitted eyes. "My attention has been set on other things."

"Other things?" A slender brow rose and she peered at him. She wanted to taste that lazy smile. How she loved the goatee and how wickedly long his hair was. How she watched him in class and lusted after his young body. How many nights she went home to masturbate to his mental image, and then later felt ashamed. Only to be unable to fight that same need the next time she saw him. It was a delicious, yet vicious, circle she was entangled in.

"Mmmm, yes, other things." Once again he placed importance on those two words. His eyes slowly drank her in, resting a moment on her cleavage hinted at under her loosened blouse. He licked his lower lip as if he would love to lick a slow line between them. Her breath caught, and she swallowed as she tried to slow her breathing, to appear normal to him, hell to herself.

"You do realize that you are close to failing? I find it puzzling. Especially seeing as you have been my top student."

He chuckled, "I hadn’t intended on failing, but it’s been hard to catch your attention."

"Why on earth would you want to capture my attention, Caleb?"

He moved his gaze back up to her face, their eyes locking. "Because you've captured mine." he said softly, his words laden with lust and want.

She stood quickly, her eyes widening. "Caleb" His name caught in her throat and came out as a croak. She shook her head, attempting to clear it of the lust slowly clouding her thoughts. She felt her bottom lip trembling. This was her dream, to hear him say he wanted her, and to be able to reach out and touch him like she wished. But no, she couldn’t.

The Next Big Thing Blog Hop- November 28

I was invited by Louisa Bacio to join this blog hop and I have invited three more authors.  Please make sure to stop by her blog and show her some love as well.

Leave a comment for your chance to win a e-copy of Demon Mine!

Here are the questions—

What is the working title of your book? Demon Tempted (#2 in the Karmic Lusts Series)

Where did the idea come from for the book? It's the second in the series and while I was writing the first the idea for a series came up.

What genre does your book fall under? Interracial Paranormal Erotic Romance

Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie? Hmm you know what not entirely sure. Clay Quinones is a hot Latin male and Eva Jackson is a beautiful bad girl that people loved to hate in the first book. Kerri Washington was the inspiration for Eva when I was writing and Franky G was my inspiration for Clay.

What is a one sentence synopsis of your book? Eve has been a bad, bad girl.

Will your book be self published or represented by an agency/publisher? It's going to Evernight Publishing

How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript? I did it for NaNoWriMo. National Novel Writing Month. It's from November 1-30. Challenged to write 50k in a month. I wrote the story in 25 days. It was tiring and grueling but I am proud to say the story is at 51,595 words. Demon Mine was only 24,570.

What other books would you compare this story to within your genre? Ohh it's hard for me to compare. I try not to do that. I'll let the reader do the comparing when the time comes.

Who or What inspired you to write this book? The whole what if Eve was the bad girl instead of of Lilith.

What else about your book might interest the reader? Loads of fun action this time. And a lot hotter than the first book.

Please stop by these fantastic authors blogs!

Maya DeLeina-Erotic Vampire Author

The author will be giving away a copy of Blood of Luna to a lucky commenter who leaves his or her email.
Welcome Maya it is a pleasure to have you here!

I am Erotic Vampire Author Maya DeLeina.

My favorite time of the year has passed, but it doesn’t mean that since Halloween is gone, vampires and paranormal creepiness are void from my life. Visions of vampires fill my head that have my fingers working non-stop on my laptop keys. In fact, for my new WIP, I am taking the fantasy world of vampires up a notch and adding some new elements.  But before I start revealing more about my WIP, get to know my latest release and see if the world I create is something you want to sink your teeth into.

Read the reviews, blurb and excerpt on Blood of Luna:

Reviews:

“This was a romance with plenty of twists and turns, a bit of a spooky edge and not to mention lots of steamy scenes that make you want a man like Trevor in your life. The scene with the “rubber” men was quite freaky, I don’t think I have ever found a read that actually unnerved me a little bit as this one did in that scene and to find out what they actually were was quite sad.

I wasn’t quite sure where the read was going at the start with the Prologue, starting off with Luna and Renny, then the entire read being about Trevor and Luna, but once you reach the very end you get enlightened to the whole situation. I did not see the ending panning out the way it did; the truth unraveling and everything being revealed as to the story behind Trevor and Luna’s connection, then the whole story got turned on its head yet again in the Epilogue!

The way this author writes is so smooth and enthralling; the whole story flows so perfectly and always keeps you guessing. It was a tough decision trying to rate this one, but I have decided on three and a half stars bordering very close to four stars.”- Book Devotee Reviews

“Paranormal erotic romance with a slice of spooky and a full helping of WTF is what I call this read.”

“Rubber men?! I keep thinking of the rubber man from American Horror Story, one of the creepiest things I have ever seen *shivers*”

“The "rubber" men were not only a bit freaky, they were probably one of the more original bad guys I have read about in a book. It does have a bit of a horror edge to it.”

Blurb:

When is it real? When is it fantasy?
For Luna Kalen, the line between reality and a dream is hard to recognize.
Recovering from a car accident, the solitude at the coast is meant to be therapeutic. But Luna soon finds it more than her idle mind can handle.
After exploring a dangerous stretch of shoreline, Luna returns home with a mysterious man she discovers in a cave. Little does Luna know that this man is about to fill her world with sinful pleasures…and blood-thirsty vampires.
When reality and fantasy collide, unimaginable dangers lurk, revelations are revealed, and darkest desires are fulfilled. But if you think the happily ever after is the sign of the ending, it’s really only the beginning.
Should Luna have listened to the warning?

Excerpt

Flood of emotions hit me like a tidal wave. I was relieved. Then I was angry. And then I grew scared. As I first suspected, there was something else besides Trevor in that cave. And since he felt the need to hide where he was going from me, the thought of what could be in the cave sent shivers down my spine.

“Luna?” Trevor’s voice echoed from within the confines of the cave.

I walked up closer to the cave and situated myself at the entrance. I couldn’t see his face to understand his emotions, but the sound of his voice said it all.

He was downright pissed.

“Trevor?”

“What the hell are you doing following me? I thought you were cooking!”

“Why did you come back here? What is in there that you are not telling me about?”

“You weren’t supposed to come here, Luna. You’re supposed to be cooking.”

“Tell me what’s going on. You owe me that!”

Trevor stepped out from the darkness to reveal himself to me. I scanned him up and down. The white shirt he had worn when he left the house no more than fifteen minutes ago was completely gone. He stood bare-chested with his shoes and slacks on. Oddly, his suspenders were still in place, wrapping around his flawless bare skin deliciously. And his ivy cap still dressed his head.

Then I looked in his eyes.

Far from what I was expecting, his eyes were cold and expressionless. Even further from my expectation was the deafening and awkward silence between us.

Not one word was spoken in response from Trevor.

I remained unusually silent trying to process what was going on.

While Trevor didn’t speak, there was a definite energy flowing from the cave’s depth that resonated in an eerie hum. Instinctively, I squinted in concentration, scanning the dark emptiness behind Trevor to make out the sound.

What I heard started off very faint but persistent. It was like I was back in the thick of my hectic morning commute, a combination of competing sounds of idling engines, conversation murmurs, blaring horns, and thumping music causing an indiscernible drone. Mounting and intensifying, the sound began to scare me.

And when I settled my eyes back on Trevor, the uneasiness in his body language and the anxiety in his expression made me freeze in terror.

Trevor dropped his head in an apparent air of defeat.

“Trevor?” I whispered.

Trevor raised his head and locked eyes with me.

“You were supposed to be cooking, Luna,” he whispered. His eyes began to tear. He took a deep breath in and released it slowly. “Keep absolutely still, or else you’ll send them into attack mode. I will try everything possible to protect you.”

I just nodded my head to acknowledge that I heard what he said. But I didn’t understand a word he said. I imagined my face must’ve had a terrible expression of fright right after the words came out of his mouth since he did everything in his power to calm me.

“Shh, Luna. Stay calm. I won’t let them hurt you.”

Trevor looked up and scanned the roof of the cave. My eyes followed his and scanned the space feverishly, not quite certain what I was looking for. Then he turned his head to the side. He looked back as far as his neck could stretch as the once faint hum was now a racket of bloodcurdling screams, eerie moans, and howling.

“They’re coming. Be brave.”

My heart pounded in my chest. I felt my knees go weak, and I became light-headed with the rush of adrenaline.

Who were “they”?

A rush of movement exploded from the darkness so quickly and overwhelmingly that I couldn’t process what was coming for me. Blackness swirled in chaos around my body, and the sounds emitted by the vortex-like cloud sounded like something from the pit of hell. I felt a cold dampness enveloping my body. A rubber, sponge-like feeling pressed and slid across my skin. Then, my body rose straight from the ground. My stomach dipped with nervous energy. I looked down and could see the sand peering out from behind the swirling blackness.

“Trevor? What’s happening?”

“They’re moving us into the cave. We’re going to their world now.”
